Buying reef aquarium equipment on Ebay

Today my two Maxi-Jet powerheads came in from the seller on Ebay.  This is one of many great experiences that I have had on Ebay, Not only from buying reef aquarium equipment but also from selling as well.  These two Maxi-Jet 1200′s cost me about $10 less going through Ebay than from buying at an online store.  It cost me about $30 less than buying from a local fish store.  Not to mention that the seller of these powerheads sent them USPS priority, so I received them within only three days.

When buying reef aquarium equipment on Ebay it is important to know your seller. Make sure he or she has a large positive feedback rating and read through the auctions carefully and fully.  Make sure you are not getting over charged for shipping and make sure that they describe in detail what they are selling, how they are selling it, shipping and payment.  It is also important to note if the seller has a return policy and what exactly it entails.  If you have any questions before buying any reef aquarium equipment you should ask the seller a question.  If he or she is a confident seller then they should respond promptly, if they don’t respond then its best to look for another auction.

It can sometimes take a while to find what you want with the right terms but when gems like these powerheads come up then its well worth the time searching the auctions.  Now I am ready to re-do my aquascaping on my reef aquarium on tuesday.
