My sump post a couple of weeks ago was a really simple design, It was not a drilled tank nor did it contain baffles. Many reefers prefer to have a sump/fuge design or just a sump with baffles. I did a little searching on the internet and found a video on You Tube that explains in detail how to create a sump with baffles and how to drill a tank for bulkheads.

Great two videos. It makes a lot of sense to me too now. I am not sure about how the water overflow will be delivered from the main tank or which type of return pump I should be looking for. Any help you can provide would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks, Mark

can i know if its really necessary for ugf for a marine tank. fyi iam not going for a reef but only live rocks, anamones & fish of course
can i have your suggestion on it. my tank size is 4ft /2ft. Awaiting your reply.

HI Vikram,
A ugf is not necessary for a marine tank in fact they will end up doing more harm then good. Skip the ugf and focus on a good skimmer.
