Would you pay $660 for a piece of rock with some corals on it?

Florida Ricordia, that’s what the picture is on the right hand side. This coral has quickly become a reefers best friend for several reasons, it used to be cheap, its from Florida, it doesn’t need a lot of attention, and it doesnt need tons of light.

But recently its becoming increasingly expensive. Perhaps Florida has placed even harder than before harvesting rules. Perhaps the wholesalers and fish stores are trying to cash in on the new reefing craze. Regardless these little mushroom corals are grabbing reefers hearts and enthusiasts eyes with every passing glimpse. My question to you is would you buy this piece of rock for $660?

Update: 4/1/08 looks like someone bought the rock, this was listed on a Dr’s foster and smith site called http://www.liveaquaria.com/
